Motherhood - Ottawa Documentary Photographer

OttawaMotherhoodPhotographer.jpg

Motherhood. It will lift you up, fill your heart with joyful love all the while throwing you a mix of challenges. It’s a beautiful mess of growth and I am blessed to see it blossom for so many wonderful women.

If you’ve followed for a while you would of seen the images from The Missing Frame Project capturing moms and babies in candid black and white photos. I’ve now invited moms who’ve participated to share their stories so that more women hear their voices and find comfort in knowing the uniqueness of each of our motherhood experiences. I am thrilled to begin publishing these stories in blog features over the Summer. I invite you to check back or if you find it easier bookmark my photo blog and enjoy a daily read.

Please leave comments and share the love for the courage they’ve taken sharing their story.

Baby Emma - Celebrating Motherhood - Day 7

Baby Emma - Celebrating Motherhood - Day 7

New mom Krista shared a wonderful view as she observed her little girl's interests peak with crawling. Yet her nightly need for mom places her back into the arms of needing comfort. Mobility has a way of making little ones seem too big for their tiny bodies. Once their adventurous side spikes, everything and everyone is a bit more interesting! Thank you Krista for sharing, Emma is such a doll and a joy to see her explore!

William - 9 months old - Ottawa Baby Photographer

A couple of weeks ago I received a beautiful message from Victoria asking if I could capture her along side her adorable little 9 month old baby boy William. Motherhood has been a transformation and time was slipping to freeze just a glimpse of what a day felt like together. She loved how I used film to observe and craft each frame ~ as she had fond memories of her own mother’s love for photography.⠀
